A Rainy Day In Byron Bay

As we are situated on the cape, we can often experience tropical storms through the summer. Although they tend to breeze through quickly, we’ve composed a list of how best to spend your time on the occasional rainy day.

With so many boutiques to wander through and so many wonderful restaurants to explore, the following venues may have you wishing for even more rainfall so you can experience Byron in all its glory!

Margaret Olley Regional Gallery and Art Museum
Located in Murwillumbah, this gallery is a beautiful drive through the countryside. (45min drive)

Palace Theatres
Located above Woolworths, the local cinema has regular viewings of all the most recent films, with house-made Connoisseur ice-cream choc-tops, popcorn and delicious wine.

Nimbus & Co
Private Sauna is located in the Byron Arts and Industrial Estate and for those daring… you could even book an ice bath.

Lunch at Eltham Pub
A beautiful drive out into the Hinterland through Clunes offers incredible paddock to plate food in an old-style Australian pub. (35min drive)

In-House Massages or Endota Spa
Our incredible in-house masseuse can set up in your room for a cosy hour of relaxation as you listen to the rainfall outside your window. You can also book into Endota Spa for a range of packages, just a short walk from the steps of 28 Degrees.

The Book Room
Situated just around the corner, The Book Room is a wonderful bookstore to browse and wander through on a rainy day; with a coffee cart just outside, you might not want to leave!
